My name is Taryn Brooks, and I have the honor to serve as the Vice President Membership for the Eta Kappa Chapter of Delta Gamma. First off, I would like to personally congratulate each of you for beginning the next four years of your life as a Wolfpack! I would also like to take this time to thank you all for your interest in Delta Gamma at North Carolina State University. We, the sisters of Delta Gamma, look forward to making connections and building lifelong friendships with so many of you come September.
I know Recruitment can seem like an intimidating process, especially given the circumstances of the year 2020. There are many unanswered questions and uncertainty in the world right now. Recruitment will seem a bit different this year, for you all and the sisters of Delta Gamma. We are more than excited to take on this new challenge and offer the best experience possible. Recruitment is a place to discover where you belong, make memories, and find your sisters. No matter the recruitment circumstance, virtual or not, we can tell you how incredibly worth it the experience is for everyone.
The Panhellenic Community here at NC State prides itself on fostering young women’s personal development during their undergraduate years. The four pillars- Sisterhood, Scholarship, Leadership, and Service- are used as a guide throughout this rewarding journey. We are all Panhellenic sisters, and cannot wait to show you all that we as a community have to offer.
To my sisters of Delta Gamma, our organization is not just a sorority. It is a sisterhood, a bond, and a home away from home. Delta Gamma holds a national reputation of academic excellence, as well as outstanding campus involvement. As a member of Delta Gamma, I have committed to a lifelong participation in this sorority and continue to aspire for high ideals and values that guide me throughout my college education, and will continue to guide me throughout my life.
As a Delta Gamma you will leave college with countless fun memories, a strong network of sisterhood, a foundation for leadership, and lifelong best friends. I know all of this because I experience it every day, in every way. DG is a part of my life that will last beyond my college years, and I am proud to say that it is truly a sisterhood. I can promise you that these women will be a champion in your absence, and a friend always. As Vice President Membership, I wish you the best of luck during your Recruitment experience, and hope that you find Delta Gamma to be a place you could call home and for your journey to be enjoyable and inspiring, just as mine was.
